What types of Roadside Assistance do we have, and what do they look like?!
In this blog, we will try to explain as briefly as possible what types of repatriation equipment there are and how they are applied.
1.Fork type repatriation truck -
This truck only has a winch and fork to transport the vehicles. Allows transport of vehicles with affected tires and/or damaged vehicle. Can transport Cars, SUVs up to 2.5T.
It is compulsory that the towed vehicle has to be insured against civil liability as it is being driven as a trailer , during transport!
2.Truck drop platform + fork lift for second car.
This truck can transport all kinds of cars and trucks, such as motorcycles, vans, trucks, forklifts, excavators, forklifts and much more. At the same time, a second vehicle up to 2.5T can be loaded on the back of the fork, with damaged front tires or serviceable ones but with other damage.
The drop-down platform allows for hassle-free loading of heavily impacted and damaged vehicles, vehicles without tires, excessively low vehicles, heavier and longer vehicles, and more.
3.Roadside assistance with mobile "pathfinder" type trails
In this type of repack, the vehicles loaded on top of it must have 4 wheels on the chassis, as without a tire or damaged one, loading would be impossible.
Vehicles up to 3T can be loaded. Most often such trucks are used for long distances and suburban trips.
These are the most common types of vehicles for the purpose of towing/repatriation of cars and MPSs in our area.
