Porsche is presenting two new models for 2020 of the universally acclaimed 911 Carrera icon - the S and 4S cabrios. Actually..., both are convertibles, but one will have a so-called hard top, the other is ... "stripped" ( going topless lol ).

Both models are based on the ones that came out in 2018, but will be a bit longer and interior fully digitised. They will also have a new "rear" with a different stop line and overall look. In this model the 6 cylinder inline engine with turbocharging, will produce 443 horsepower. The torque converter has also been changed to fit the all-new 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. It will erupt from 0 to 120 in about 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 306 km/h. It's still not so public to say unveiled ( although it's being guided ), one can already make a preliminary pre-order and it will only cost you around £300,000.

Some of the additions it gets are a brand new folding soft top with glass window and support elements made of magnesium to keep the weight. The top opens or closes at the push of a button in about 12 seconds at speeds up to 60 km/h, ensuring that owners do not have to stop to open or close.

As for digital updates inside, 911 is techier than ever. In fact, if we look at the brand's other models, it's not really a novelty, as it literally takes the dashboard and other instrumentation from the Cayenne and Panamera, including the instrument cluster made up of two large, driver-configurable screens located on either side of the analog odometer. The standard 10.9-inch touchscreen in the center console as a multimedia system and online navigation with real-time traffic information. Interestingly, smartphone connectivity has become a surprisingly important part for this modelA new app called Porsche Road Trip has been built to help driving enthusiasts plan trips by selecting scenic routes, giving restaurant and hotel recommendations, and highlighting viewpoints along the way. As an added bonus, I will say that our enthusiasts will have the opportunity to drive it with gas injection 😉 ...and without losing power and without increasing the rhzoda.... Mmm.... yes.
