NISSAN ENV 200 - Electric bus... but it's not easy.
Colleagues from ELDRIVE.eu , who deal with the rental and sale, of electric cars, have rented a Nissan ENV 200 van to a client. He drove the electric vehicle to the town of Pazardzhik, but decided that he could get there faster and pulled into a pothole.... Bearing in mind that this van may be electric, but it's fitted with quite powerful 80 kW electric motors with 107 hp. Which doesn't make it particularly economical on electricity at high speed especially with that 25 kWh battery. And that's how it came to our rescue services, because besides everything the renter himself, was traveling elsewhere and didn't charge the van before leaving found himself without electricity near Ihtiman. I would put it in slightly different language " A nasty thrill ". And indeed it is a nasty one.
Despite everything, this Nissan ENV 200 van is not a bad vehicle at all. With its powerful engine, it can reach a top speed of 170 km/h. Of course, you've already realized that at this speed, the chance of passing the maximum range allowed on a single charge of 200 kilometers is nil, as the energy is used up quickly. On this model, the small battery is a big minus. The newer 2017 model offers a 40 kWh battery that allows a range of up to 350 kilometers.
With a top speed of 100 km/h up to 120 and Bulgarian terrain, you should be able to drive about 180 kilometers without a problem on a single charge of the 25 kWh battery.
The vehicle is light and very easy to drive, comfortable with a load capacity of up to 700 kg. Regardless of which model, whether like the one we drove ( passenger ) or cargo, this is its maximum. This version is slightly longer than its diesel counterpart and gives more volume.
An interesting feature is that you can, while charging the battery, run the climate control along with seat heating, this will take the current from charging, not from the batteries. That is while you rest you can maintain the temperature in the car.
On a slow charge, a full charge is reached in 8 hours ( manufacturer recommends a quality charge of 12 hours ), on a fast charger it takes 4 hours for a full charge. There is also an option to charge with an ultra fast charger, which can fill up to 80 percent charge in 30 minutes.
The vehicle is equipped with a GPS planning system that allows you to plan the entire trip and choose the optimal route to reduce energy consumption and be faster. With the "ECO Mode" system, you can save up to 10 percent of the charge while travelling, in addition to reducing the load on the vehicle. It also has regenerative brakes that help regain charge during braking.
Naturally, it is equipped with standard comfort options and security systems:
