Audi E-tron GT arrives 2020, for real this time!

Audi have confirmed that they will be showing their Audi E-tron GT concept this year, which will be their third all-electric model. Production and sales of this beast are expected to begin in 2020.

The Audi E-tron GT will be a sporty electric model with a low coupe and typical sporty lines, the model will be produced at the place where the brand's other sporty model Audi R8 comes from in Neckarsulm - Germany.

Audi have been talking about this model for a few years and have been delaying its production, maybe they would have been big competition for Tesla from the start. Apparently it's all true this time, confirmed at one of Audi's press conferences, the car will be shown this summer in Brussels, where the concept model will also be produced.

The Audi E-tron GT, will use VW's J1 electric car platform, which is also used by Porsche's sedan model to be launched later this year.

The E-tron is expected to be priced at around 80,000 euros, which is average compared to other e-cars in this class.
